I am a very friendly, organised and supportive tutor with a fantastic success rate. I mainly have reviews on the First Tutors website. I have 17 years teaching experience and am lucky enough to be able to tutor full time - meaning I don’t have to fit lessons in around other work commitments!

I make lessons as engaging, fun and interactive as possible - using visual aids, creative tools and utilising the child's ideas, whilst sticking firmly to the brief/curriculum. I believe that tutors should encourage children, understand what methods work for them, and help children develop their ideas. The educational process should be enjoyable and fulfilling, bolstering a child's confidence, while pushing them to realise their full academic potential.

I do believe in researching thoroughly what has been tested before as the best indicator of what is to come in the forthcoming exam. For this reason, I conduct up-to-date research on specific schools students are aiming to gain entry to and tailor my approach accordingly. I also mainly work with past papers, of which I have a substantial supply. I specialise in 11+ tuition but also teach GCSE and 7+

I am able to adapt my approach to tutoring in order to suit the bespoke needs of my tutees. I work face-to-face and/or online. I build strong working relationships with my students and am flexible with lesson times. Please get in touch with any questions you might have.
