Sometimes science can feel like staring at a mountain of information and not knowing where to start. My approach is to turn that mountain into small hills by breaking concepts down into the smallest, most manageable steps and building understanding piece by piece. I believe even the most complex ideas can become a simple story when explained in the right way.
I often use analogies, visual aids, diagrams, images, and videos to make concepts not only understandable, but also memorable and enjoyable. I also like getting to know how students think and what interests them, because sometimes the best way to explain something is to connect it to a world they already understand. Whether that’s using comparisons, creating stories around concepts, or approaching topics from a different angle, I believe learning should feel engaging rather than overwhelming.
My lessons are interactive and tailored to each individual student. We can work through difficult topics together, strengthen understanding through discussion, tackle exam-style questions, and build confidence in applying knowledge. I understand that not everyone learns in the same way, so I aim to adapt my teaching style to fit the student rather than expecting the student to fit a single approach. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them realise that even the most intimidating scientific ideas can become understandable with the right guidance.
