Each lesson aims to explore a different method and consistent practice of textual analysis as well as application of exam questions. By the end of the lesson, students should feel confident in approaching exam questions and can develop their approach to analysing literary techniques. All my lessons follow a consistent structure, dependent on the students needs. There are ample of opportunities to ask questions and I try to engage students by using creative methods such as forming analysis into a WHY chain and focusing on key points using mind maps. When practising exam questions, I always use a clear modelling method where I show students both examples of high level answers as well as writing an answer collaboratively to secure their structure.
