My lessons are built around one thing: making sure you know exactly what the exam board is looking for, and how to get every mark you're capable of.
I'm a fully qualified Business teacher (Teach First trained), currently teaching Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level Business at an international school, and previously taught GCSE and A-Level Business at a London academy, where I also tutored A-Level and GCSE Business one-to-one. In my last full cohort, every student achieved or exceeded their predicted grade.
In lessons, we focus heavily on exam technique alongside content: breaking down command words, working through mark schemes line by line so you can see exactly where marks are won and lost, and practising past paper questions under timed conditions as exams get closer. I build in regular low-stakes testing and clear feedback so gaps get caught early, rather than showing up in a mock.
I adapt to how you learn best, more scaffolded support to build confidence on a tricky topic, or being pushed harder on exam-style application questions if you're already secure on content. I've taught across the full ability range, including students learning in a second language, so I'm used to explaining things a few different ways until they click.
Above all, I want every session to feel purposeful rather than "going through the textbook", you should leave each lesson clearer on exactly what the exam wants from you, and more confident getting there.
