Hi! I’m a third-year Biomedical Sciences student at the University of Liverpool, and I offer GCSE Biology tutoring. I studied Biology with the WJEC exam board at GCSE and achieved an A*, so I understand how important it is to know both the content and how to apply it effectively in an exam.

To begin our lessons, I’ll find out which topics you feel most confident with and which areas you find more difficult. From there, I’ll structure our lessons around you, prioritising the topics where you need the most support rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.

I’ll place a strong focus on exam questions and exam technique, as I found this was one of the most effective ways to prepare for my own exams. We’ll work through questions together, breaking down exactly what the question is asking and how to structure an answer to gain as many marks as possible. I’ll also highlight important keywords and phrases that examiners look for, as knowing the content is only part of doing well in an exam.

I aim to make lessons relaxed, encouraging and easy to understand, and I’m happy to explain topics in different ways until something clicks. Whether you’re struggling with a particular topic, want to build your confidence, need help preparing for upcoming exams, or simply want some extra practice, lessons can be adapted to suit your needs.

As a Biomedical Sciences student, I also have a strong interest in biology and can help make more complicated topics easier to understand by breaking them down into manageable sections. My goal is to help you feel more confident with Biology and, importantly, more confident when you walk into the exam.
