Hi everyone! For the past two years, I’ve had the incredibly rewarding experience of teaching English to young refugees in Jordan. This hands-on role has involved guiding them through the fundamentals of reading, writing, and most importantly, speaking English. Working with children has reinforced the need for highly engaging and dynamic teaching methods, using role-plays and interactive games to make learning both effective and enjoyable. While my experience is rooted in teaching younger learners, I believe this interactive and immersive approach is beneficial to students of all ages.

Complementing this practical experience, I have also completed an extensive TEFL qualification, equipping me with a comprehensive understanding of language pedagogy and teaching it!

I specialise in teaching English as a foreign language, and you can expect my classes to be highly conversation-focused. I believe that communication is the foundation of mastering a language, alongside confidence! My lessons are typically structured around speaking tasks that are built upon a pre-provided topic vocabulary list. We’ll dive into practical, real-world scenarios role-playing - whether that’s ordering at a restaurant, conducting a job interview, or planning and booking a holiday. This approach is rooted in the belief that immersing yourself in the language through these practical situations is the most effective path to internalising the language and fluency. While conversation is central, each lesson will also naturally revolve around a particular grammar point, ensuring well-rounded understanding.
