I initially aim to grasp what the students initial understanding of a topic is, via simple questions. After this, I tailor lessons to the specific needs of each student, whether that be help with certain topics or exam technique. I will explain concepts to students, along with going through exam questions to further help with understanding. At the end of each section, I will give students “mini tests”, in order to identify any further areas of weakness, which we will then build on. I aim to help students make progress with their grade, regardless of what level they are currently at. I recommend my students to regularly recall previous content to ensure memorisation, so I will incorporate frequent questioning of older content to make sure student do not forget. I use past paper questions specific to the AQA exam board so students are taught only what they are required to know. Students will be given high quality advice with regards to managing revision and also how to maximise time. As a medical student, I have experience with managing my revision along with extra curricular whilst still being able to finish A-Levels with 3 A’s and 10 A*s at GCSE level. Furthermore, I have experience with tutoring children, always seeing my students progress immensely. With hard work and consistency, I believe my students will reach their maximum studying potential. This will allow them to achieve their ambitions and goals post school. As a tutor, I take great pride when I improve my students school performance, through steady teaching and complete commitment.
