I love my own subject, Chemistry, science, and attach great importance to the development of mathematical skills for the sciences.

I am particularly good at identifying where a student's understanding has broken down and helping them make connections between new ideas and things they already know.

Good tutoring is with the student, not simply to them.

My aim is for students not just to memorise a method, but to understand why it works and become increasingly confident solving unfamiliar problems independently.
