I’ve been teaching since 2019 in a variety of settings: private tutoring, classroom teaching, volunteering with refugee learners, and leading educational activities in holiday camps. This mix of experiences has helped me understand how to support different learning styles, ages, and goals.
My teaching style is student-centred and very flexible. I believe that learning works best when students feel safe, supported, and free to make mistakes. I use a mix of conversation practice, structured grammar work, personalised exercises, games, and real-life scenarios to make lessons engaging and meaningful. I always tailor my approach to each student’s level, interests, and confidence.
For young learners, I focus on fun, movement-based, interactive activities that keep them engaged and help them build strong foundations. For adults, I emphasise confidence-building, clear explanations, and practical skills for daily life, work, or academic needs.
I hold a BA in French and Hispanic Studies and an MSc in Global Development. These degrees strengthened my understanding of language learning, cultural communication, and teaching people from diverse backgrounds. I speak French and Spanish, which often helps me explain concepts clearly to learners who share those languages.
I specialise in:
• Conversational English
• Grammar foundations
• Academic writing and comprehension
• Supporting complete beginners
• Building confidence for shy or anxious learners
• Exam preparation (as needed)
• Children’s learning (ages 3–12)
• English for adults and young professionals
Overall, I aim to create a warm, understanding environment where students feel encouraged, motivated, and proud of their progress!
Look forward to hearing from you!
