Hi there! My name is Bita, and it is with great excitement that I introduce myself to be considered as your new English tutor!

I hold a bachelor's degree in Psychobiology from the #1 public university in the United States (UCLA, Go Bruins!), and I have 8+ years of experience tutoring a diverse array of students, from neurodivergent high schoolers to stay-at-home moms returning to college.

I specialize in tutoring English because it's what I'm good at. As a daughter of immigrants, I understand how tricky learning or mastering the language can be. My teaching style falls at the intersection of analytical and creative, and you can expect a strong emphasis on building a personal relationship with me as your tutor. I value lifelong learning and being a long-term resource, friend, and connection for all my students.

My lesson plans include a review of class assignments rubric by rubric, with a multitude of personalized practice materials utilizing all the different senses (visual, audio, written, kinesthetic, etc.) I believe in evidence-based methods of active practice and time sensitive rehearsal, and I am always surveying students to assess progress and personal satisfaction. I am famous for getting my students hooked on virtual task-management tools, like Notion, which are revolutionary in building organizational and planning skills for success.
