my lessons are designed especially for primary school children and are structured, supportive, and engaging. i follow the syllabus or topics you provide so that every session focuses directly on what your child is learning in school. we explore each topic in depth, breaking it down into simple, clear steps so your child fully understands before moving on.

a typical lesson begins with a short recap to refresh prior knowledge and identify any gaps. i then introduce the main concept in a clear and interactive way, using examples and guided practice. we work through questions together first, discussing methods and strategies, before your child completes independent tasks to build confidence. this allows me to see exactly where they may need extra support or further challenge.

i adapt the pace completely to your child’s learning style. if they need more time, i will slow down, repeat explanations, and approach the topic from different angles. if they grasp concepts quickly, i will introduce more challenging questions to stretch their thinking and keep them engaged. every child learns differently, and i make sure lessons reflect that.

i have experience tutoring younger family members, which has helped me develop patience and an understanding of how to explain ideas in ways that are easy to understand. my sessions are calm, encouraging, and positive, creating a space where children feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

i can also support preparation for SATs and 11+ exams, focusing on maths, english, comprehension, reasoning skills, and exam techniques. i provide regular feedback and small homework tasks when appropriate, so parents can clearly see their child’s progress and growing confidence over time.
