My lessons will be online, via Microsoft Teams. These will consist of supportive, interactive discussions that will help develop your own skills and knowledge. Additionally, I will provide tasks and resources that will support your learning by challenging you to work individually to answer questions which we can then answer together with non-judgemental and supportive feedback to help you improve. Lastly, I will provide tasks to be done between lessons, sort of like ‘homework’ but with less harsh time constraints and more support, meaning I will not give scores in the traditional sense. Questions left unanswered or half-answered will not be penalised, but instead it will become a task that we complete together so that you can gain support to answer the questions, so that you may be able to do so independently in the future.

Something that sets me apart from other tutors is the fact that I have experience with supporting people with additional needs such as Dyslexia and Autism. As a young carer with a disabled parent, I understand that learning can be difficult and frustrating for people with additional needs, therefore I promise to be adaptable, supportive and respectful to all students, regardless of what accommodations they may require within lessons. I also promise to adapt my lessons accordingly and provide the best possible quality lessons I can in order to ensure that each individual student gets a lesson that suits their needs, personality, learning style and abilities. This additional accommodation is, of course, free of charge as it is important that all students receive supportive and helpful lessons, regardless of their circumstances and background.
