My lessons are relaxed, engaging, and highly practical. Each session begins with short drawing exercises to loosen the hand and eye, followed by a series of structured activities exploring composition, tone, colour, and perspective. I often set up still life arrangements or architectural spaces as starting points, encouraging students to observe closely while experimenting with different materials and approaches.

I draw from my experience teaching at The Royal Drawing School and West Dean College, where I lead courses in still life drawing, architectural drawing, painting, and mural work. Lessons combine demonstration, discussion and individual guidance, creating an atmosphere that’s both focused and open to play. My aim is to help each student grow in confidence, learn to see more deeply, and develop their own distinct way of drawing and painting.
