If you’re eager to learn Graphic Design - and want to understand what makes design effective in terms of audience, legibility, purpose and function - these lessons could be a great fit.
You’ll need access to Adobe Creative Cloud, as we’ll explore the essentials and create a series of campaign assets that put these principles into practice over a six-week, bi-weekly course.
In Week 1, we’ll dig into real-life campaigns and break down the good, the bad, and the downright ugly. You’ll come away with a solid grasp of core principles - including hierarchy, colour, messaging and other key design choices - and how they influence the effectiveness of visual communication.
From Weeks 2–5, we’ll work through a set brief and develop a range of core assets, all while learning the fundamentals of Adobe Creative Cloud. It’s a hands-on phase designed to build confidence, skills and a strong understanding of how great work comes together. Programs will include Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator as we'll be designing print and online materials to ensure our designs have flex.
In Week 6, we’ll focus on how to present your designs effectively. Client sell-in is a crucial part of the design process, and feeling confident in your work makes all the difference. We’ll cover how to articulate your creative rationale, structure a presentation, and showcase your work in a way that lands with your audience.
