About me

My favourite thing about teaching is uncovering my pupils' musical passions, be it Mozart or Motown, Scarlatti or Swift. I believe a music teacher's most important job is to inspire their pupil to play what they love, and I make sure to tailor every lesson to the pupils' preferences. My favourite thing about teaching is uncovering my pupils' musical passions, be it Mozart or Motown, Scarlatti or Swift. I believe a music teacher's most important job is to inspire their pupil to play what they love, and I make sure to tailor every lesson to the pupils' preferences. I am qualified and experienced in teaching for classical piano exams up to Grade 6, but I am equally comfortable teaching pop music (how to read chord symbols, how to vamp, how to improvise), jazz piano and songwriting.
