Lessons will be held online via zoom, the format I am most comfortable using is the analysis and marking of past papers, either going through questions together or marking your own work. I am able to offer help with AQA Psychology only as that is what I studied at A level, I am also comfortable doing GCSE Psychology as well.
Communication wise I prefer an informal approach centered around you, one of the main reasons I use past papers is so we can go through and RAG them (marking Red Amber Green) , for what you felt was hard, easy or of medium difficulty. Then using that structure to tailor future sessions.
In the first session you can expect an informal conversation focused on what you would like to get out of the tutoring, what you currently find difficult and what you find easy as well as defininng your aims moving forward.
Lastly, I encourage my students to keep folders of all the past papers/ questions they have done to show their progress. This helped me immensely when I needed tutoring, as seeing your starting point in comparison to where you are when you take those exams gives you massive boost!
