Ben Crisp

With 5 years experience of private 1:1 tutoring, it is my belief that passion when teaching leads to engagement when learning; As a university student, I understand how crucial enthusiasm is in order to learn. I encourage the teaching of multiple methods to solve questions, and finding which works best for the individual - this is not something possible in group classrooms. As a young person, students have said they find it easier and less stressful to talk with me than their school teachers.

I have experience with both in person tutoring and online over the past 5 years, teaching a wide range of subjects up to GCSE level including Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Geography and Geology. I have utilised a range of software such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom and google meet. Collaborative whiteboards such as google jamboard and canva allow for both myself and the student to see each others work in real time - if there is a student's preference, I can be flexible.
