I think the best way to teach young children is to make learning fun, interactive and suited to the individual child as they are much more likely to engage when they are enjoying the lesson rather than feeling like they are simply being given information.

I would use a mixture of different teaching methods, such as games, quizzes, pictures, videos and practical activities, depending on what the child responds to best. I also think it is important to keep activities fairly short and varied, as young children can lose concentration if they are doing the same thing for too long.

Held 1-to-1 online revision sessions before exams, creating personalised study plans based on the student’s weaker areas.
Used Zoom/Google Meet with screen sharing to work through questions and explain answers step-by-step.
Created online quizzes and practice questions to test understanding during sessions.
Helped students improve their exam technique, including how to structure answers and identify key words in questions.
Worked with students who were struggling with confidence, encouraging them and breaking difficult topics into smaller sections.
