Becky Jones

My name is Becky Jones and I am a friendly and enthusiastic English teacher here to meet all of your needs regarding English. I specialize in teaching English as a second language, GCSE English & Alevel English. I have been an English teacher for almost 5 years now and have experience teaching in all of the above both online and in the classroom, I also have experience teaching ks1 & ks2 English to primary school children. I have excellent and expanded knowledge of the curriculum in these age groups and strive to teach to the best standards in my lessons. I get such a fullfillment when I am able to teach students and enable them to grasp a certain concept that they might not have understood before. I am very patient and like to take my time to make sure that everything is explained thoroughly so that the student is able to get the very best out of their lessons with me. My sessions and lively and fun so that you are getting that extra enjoyment whilst learning. My hobbies and interests include reading literature especially romantic literature, I enjoy collecting first editions of particular romantic poets such as Wordsworth, Coleridge and Keats. Literature is a passion of mine and one of my absolute favourite things to teach. I have experience in teaching the Edexcel exam board as well as AQA. My teaching style is quite lecture based whilst also being interactive at the same time, I like to explain in as much detail as I can about what I am teaching and always make sure there is time in the lesson for you to ask questions on anything you don't understand or anything I can help you with.
