My lessons are designed to be relaxed, engaging, and completely adaptable to each student’s individual needs. I understand that everyone learns differently, so rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I aim to create lessons that suit the way you learn best. Whether you need help understanding a difficult text, developing your literary analysis, improving your essay writing, or simply building confidence, we can focus on what will be most useful for you.

I want lessons to feel enjoyable and approachable rather than stressful or overly formal. I don’t want any student to dread their lessons. Literature can sometimes feel complicated or overwhelming, so I aim to break down difficult ideas into manageable parts and make sure you feel comfortable asking questions and sharing your own interpretations. I believe one of the beauties of literature is that it’s open to interpretation. There isn’t always one single ‘right’ way to understand a text, and I want to help students feel confident developing and expressing their own ideas.

Most importantly, I want to help you make the most of your time. Lessons will be focused around your goals, with activities and discussions chosen to help you make meaningful progress. I can adapt the pace, structure, and content depending on what you need from each session.

Whether you learn best through conversation, examples, discussion, close analysis, or working through essays together, I’ll do my best to find an approach that works for you. My goal is for you to leave each lesson feeling more confident, more capable, and with a clearer understanding of the subject without feeling overwhelmed.
