Having already taught both nationally and internationally, one of the main ways I inspire my students and maximize their learning is by making lessons as enjoyable as possible. Student centralization and constant eliciting are one of the main methods I use in class to keep students engaged. I have learnt to be very concise when it comes to error corrections and feedback. Regardless of the different contexts, one thing that must without a doubt be corrected is the target language, anything other than that will depend on a variety of factors.

One of my outstanding abilities, and one that I have been complimented on throughout my teaching experience is the student rapport I am able to develop within a short space of time, something I credit to my easy-going nature. This is especially important in the certain context as some students not only wants a teacher that he/she is able to develop a relationship with, but one that is able to liaise between the English language culture and their native one. For this reason,I make sure to create a space that students feel comfortable in making mistakes in. Creating such an environment is also conducive when teaching explicitly or implicitly, the skills of critical thinking. This allows for student opinions to be scrutinised without feeling defensive/offended!
