I’m a friendly, patient and encouraging tutor, and I understand that every student has different areas they would like to improve in. I make my lessons personal to you so that they never get boring, and I'll be kind when you make mistakes (I promise!) You'll feel supported and then confident and before you know it, you'll be taking charge of the conversation!

Speaking is at the heart of my lessons. I'll ask questions and you'll answer. I'll help you with vocabularly and phrases when you need. I'll introduce different topics and help you reach a point where you feel comfortable holding a natural conversation. Once a topic begins to feel easy, we can move on to something new and gradually build your confidence, vocabulary and fluency.

The lessons are guided by your needs and interests. Where we both agree that a grammar topic needs more attention, I will prepare some materials and exercises that you can work through at home and then we can check them together. I can also create vocabulary sheets based on the areas or topics where you would like more support.

My aim is to create a relaxed environment where you feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and practising without pressure. As a language learner myself, I know that confidence is just as important as accuracy, and I will be there every step of the way. Langauge learning is not meant to be scary - well, just a little!
