Teaching individuals whose English is not their first language demands a nuanced approach that prioritises clarity and engagement. I will simplify the language and make sure my pupils understand everything thoroughly, I will avoid complex sentence structures and idiomatic expressions, opting instead for clear, straightforward communication. I will be using Visual aids such as images, diagrams, to convey concepts and enhancing understanding of the learner, particularly for visual learners. I will be contextualising learning within real-life situations or familiar contexts makes new vocabulary and grammar more relevant and memorable. Active participation is encouraged through interactive activities, discussions, and role-plays, fostering engagement and reinforcing learning. Constructive feedback on pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary usage is essential, providing learners with opportunities for practice and improvement. I will be regularly assessing and keep a progress tracker to help learners monitor their development and provide insights for further improvement. And by most importantly I will be adapting to each of my learners specific needs to make sure they feel comfortable in lessons and fully understand concepts and I will be obviously working at which ever pace the learners wants to go, so they have control over their lessons. Drawing from my previous experience assisting individuals in learning and enhancing their English skills, I am confident in my ability to effectively support others in their language journey.
