My lessons would be supportive, practical and tailored to each student. I would start by getting to know the student, understanding what they are finding difficult and identifying the goals they want to achieve.
Sessions would focus on areas such as organisation, time management, study techniques, motivation, confidence and managing academic pressure. Rather than using the same approach for everyone, I would adapt each session depending on the student’s needs, personality and learning style. Each individual learns in a unique way that i would help tailor session to suit their needs
I would use simple goal-setting, structured study plans, realistic weekly targets and practical techniques to help students stay focused and make progress. I would also encourage students to reflect on what is working and what still remains a challenge.
I am a friendly, patient and encouraging individual. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and discussing difficulties without feeling judged. Although I am at the beginning of my coaching experience, I have a strong academic background and have developed excellent organisation, resilience and time-management skills through my studies, work experience and personal achievements.
when working with students i ensure that i am providing a foundation for their learning in order to achieve academic success and the discipline to do well within a school environment by providing mental supports and the skills necessary to allow students to thrive. Examples of study techniques include; spaced repetition, practice questions, blurting, flash cards, depth explanations, diagrams, past papers, timed essays and mind maps.
