As a tutor, my approach centres on cultivating independent, confident, and curious learners. I believe that education should not merely prepare students for exams, but empower them with the problem-solving and investigative skills needed to thrive beyond the classroom.
My lessons are designed to nurture critical thinking and creativity, helping students to develop the mindset of lifelong learners.
Each session is interactive and tailored to the individual student’s goals, pace, and learning style. I often begin with a short discussion to assess understanding and identify areas for improvement, followed by guided problem-solving activities that encourage exploration and reasoning.
Breaking down complex ideas, and highlighting the “why” behind each concept is a teaching skill I learned from my own favourite teachers, and has helped me enjoy studying. I endeavor to, with the best of my abilities, replicate this, and pass on the spirit of investigation and understanding to others, hoping to share my love for learning.
I strive to make my lessons both intellectually stimulating and enjoyable. By incorporating real-world examples, analogies, and occasional games or challenges, I ensure that learning remains engaging and memorable (it might even serve as cues to recall concepts during exam :) ). My goal is for students not only to master the content, but to enjoy the process of learning itself.
With a background in psychology and a passion for education, I understand that motivation, confidence, and curiosity are key to success. I aim to build these qualities in every student I teach—so they leave each lesson inspired, capable, and eager to learn more.
