My primary maths lessons are designed to be fun, engaging, and tailored to each child’s individual needs and learning style. I usually structure lessons with a clear format: we begin with a short warm up to review previous topics, followed by introducing a new concept in a simple and interactive way, and then practise through guided exercises and games.
I focus on making maths enjoyable rather than stressful. I use visual explanations, real life examples, and interactive activities to help students understand concepts, not just memorise them. I also create personalised teaching materials for each student, ensuring they work at the right pace and build confidence step by step.
I have experience working in person with children under 12, which has helped me develop patience, communication skills, and the ability to keep young learners motivated. I understand that every child learns differently, so I adapt my approach to suit them whether that means more practice, more explanation, or more encouragement.
My lessons are supportive and positive, where mistakes are seen as part of learning. I aim to build both strong maths skills and confidence, so students feel comfortable asking questions and trying new challenges.
I am also a passionate and quick learner, always looking for new ways to improve my teaching and make lessons even more effective and enjoyable for my students.
