For my previous student,I helped her move 4 grades up. Thus I have the same intention for your children. My lessons will begin with first talking about how we should approach specific texts. Then some revision and then analysing new texts. This approach has worked best for me and my students previously as it pushes the student to think more for themselves before analysing text instead of relying on a tutor to do their homework. That is my intention with all students. To help them analyse with text rather than just tell them. This is very useful considering the exams and tests they will have to give. I also intend to teach in a calm and rewarding manner. Helping the student feel good after overcoming an obstacle in their course. I believe that strictness in teaching can be harmful for the child as it puts them off wanting to learn . Perhaps teaching them in such a gentle may make them realise their true passions for the English literature subject. I would also want the child to have more of a say in how I approach teaching. If a method does not work for a child then their is no need for me to further pursue the method not only benefiting the child in their learning but also making them feel seen and heard. This is key to helping and pushing them to achieve high grades in their final tests and exams. I intend to move children that I am teaching to atleast three grades above target grades
