The lessons will be for 1 or 2 hours, they will consist of reading a text and practicing techniques. Mainly it will consist of practicing structural advancements and the first few lessons will be involving a range of exercises to figure out which style is best suited to you! There will be 5 minutes of rest which is not a lot but is still important to relax the brain even for the slightest. We will go through past papers and new papers, ensuring all skills are being used. The papers will be marked together so I can go over what was wrong and you can go over it and confidently move on. Furthermore for literature the specialised text tailored to your school will be the pinpoint of the lessons, we will go over the key interpretations and not only will I leave you with a set of structures and ready to go plans, I’ll ensure that from these lessons you take away not only the set knowledge but the skills required to attain them. For my experience I have tutored my cousins which they are in years 7 and 9. Both were on grades 5-6 in English however after only 2 months of tutoring them they managed to get it up by 2 grades. My experience is not only family related as I’ve tutored one of my neighbours which he is in year 6. Ready for sats last year he managed to get above in every subject after being on 4 BELOWs and 2 ATs. I’m here to say I’m confident and passionate in my work ethic!
