As a recent graduate I know that students are often looking for direct help with the work they’ve been assigned. I want to help with assigned work so that students can walk away feeling that they’ve accomplished their goals within their classes. When I help students with assigned work I don’t just go right into the content on the surface, I encourage the student to comprehend the importance behind the task at hand. We will work on breaking down assigned work, so that students understand the overall reason behind the assignment. This will work in favour of their future work in English. I understand that one of the hardest parts of English class can be reading comprehension so that is a large factor that I will focus in on for students. If students become confident in their ability to comprehend what they’re reading, they will become more confident in their writing. I am also happy to help stunners become more complex writers as this was one of the main challenges I noticed students struggle with during my educational journey. My experience of four years in university studying English has prepared me to teach students how to read and write at the highest level. I’m pleased to be able to offer my expertise in this subject.
