My lessons are student centered where students are active participants in the lessons and I am a facilitator. I do not believe that I should be the sole imparter of knowledge.

I ensure that my classtoom environment is one where students feel comfortable in participating and also understanding that making mistakes are okay.

I make apt use of research to find out my students' interests and tailor my lesson to match their interests. For example, if I see that students have an interest in sports or tik tok I will find ways to include them in my lessons.

I use music, songs, games, videos, realia, among other instruments to teach the concepts to students. I also ensure that students get enough activities to develop the four skills. (Listening, reading, writing, and speaking the language). I like to also include activities such as repition drills to improve vocabulary.

I also believe in model teaching. I provide students with examples and allow them to figure out the process. They can also use my examples as a guide.

If for any reason there are students who are not grasping the content being taught, I am not afraid to use another method to bring across the content. I also make several checks during the lessons to ensure that students are understanding.

In a class where students have mixed abilities I make apt use of differentiated instructions. I do believe that every child can learn and I do also understand that each child learns differently.
