My experience as a teacher has given me a deep understanding of delivering creative, engaging learning to children with a range of special educational needs and children with English as an additional language. I strongly believe it is important to make learning interesting and creative. I believe in focusing on children's individuality, their strengths and challenges, likes and dislikes, and developing a nurturing relationship. By creating a supportive environment and nurturing a growth mindset, children are not limited in their potential.

I have thorough, in-depth knowledge of the primary curriculum and have supported children to pass year 1 phonics screening, year 2 and year 6 SATS. I have been successful in supporting children with additional needs and/or English as an additional language to develop their phonics, reading and writing knowledge.
