Here is my portfolio!

I want to take away the anxiety of ‘am I improving?’ and turn it into tangible, objective progress. I want you to be confidently able to say you’re getting better and be able to explain why and use that knowledge to inform your future work.

Far too often in art I feel that we do not know why something looks good, or are overwhelmed when we see a beautiful piece and say we could never even dream of attempting such a work. When I went to University all I wanted to do was paint and nobody taught me, it was all photo editing and quick workarounds. I want to teach you how to start from a blank canvas and end with something that was completely done by you!

I break painting down into these sections:

Line

Shape and form

Value and contrast

Colour and light

Textures and detail

All the way up to finalising our images and making them ‘pop’.

I want to be able to deliver personalised feedback to you no matter where you are on your artistic journey. It doesn’t matter your skill, I will be able to help you improve! I have done the thousands of hours of painting so that I can condense my knowledge in a digestible form for you to replicate and learn from.

I will break down the fear so that you can see that incredible art is achievable as long as you understand the fundamentals in how brilliant pieces work!
