An experienced, multi-lingual tutor, fluent in English, French, Spanish and Chinese. I am a linguist at heart, also speaking German, Japanese, Italian and Afrikaans to differing degrees. I hold a BA in French and Spanish (with distinctions in Oral French and Spoken Spanish) as well as an HSK L4 in Mandarin Chinese. I have experience of living, and teaching, in Spain and China, and have utilised my languages in a professional capacity (working with partners and businesses in China, Taiwan, Chile, France, Senegal, Mexico, Nicaragua). I worked as a language assistant at a school in Spain, and have a range of tutoring experience, having taught students from 5 years old through to 60+. I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate.

I take a client-centred approach to tutoring, ensuring that sessions are tailored to maximise learning in a fun and impactful way. Lessons typically combine revision of previous sessions to consolidate learning, new vocabulary/grammar, conversation/speaking/pronunciation practice plus listening/reading exercises. Sessions are adapted to the student to ensure they are aligned with individual learning needs and ability levels.
