My lessons are for GSCE and A-level maths, biology and chemistry students, and aspiring dental and medical students who would like help with either the UCAT, interviews, their personal statement, or strategic university applications.

As a dental student at King’s College London, I understand how challenging exams can be and, more importantly, what it takes to achieve top grades. My tutoring style is highly personalised, as I believe every student learns differently. I tailor each lesson to the individual student’s strengths, weaknesses and goals, ensuring they leave every session feeling more confident and secure in the topic.

I typically structure my one-hour lessons around two key areas: understanding the content and mastering exam technique.

I begin by teaching and breaking down the key concepts of the chosen topic in a clear and straightforward way. Throughout the lesson, I regularly ask the student questions to check their understanding and identify any areas that need further explanation. I make sure that no gaps in their knowledge are left behind.

Once the student is confident with the content, we move directly into exam-style questions. I strongly believe that knowing the content is only half of the process — knowing how to apply it in an exam is what can make the difference between a good grade and a top grade. After the student has attempted the questions, I go through their answers with them, explaining exactly how to approach different question types, what examiners are looking for, how to structure answers effectively and how to avoid common mistakes.

My aim is not simply to teach students the answers, but to help them understand the material, develop strong exam technique and become more confident and independent learners. By the end of each session, I want students to feel that they have genuinely improved and, most importantly, know exactly what they need to do to achieve the grades they are aiming for.
