I’m an incoming King’s College London medical student and recently achieved A*A*A in Biology, Chemistry and Maths at A-Level after studying at St Olave’s Grammar School.

I know from experience that doing well academically is not just about spending more hours revising. Earlier in school, I often found that I was putting time into studying without getting the results I wanted. Over time, I learned how to revise more effectively, identify my weaknesses and use exam questions properly. That change in approach played a major role in helping me achieve my final A-Level results, and it is something I want to pass on to my students.

My online lessons are usually 60 minutes and are tailored to the student’s exam board, current ability and target grade. I focus first on making sure the student genuinely understands the topic before moving on to targeted exam-style questions. We then go through mistakes together and identify exactly why marks were lost and how to improve the answer next time.

For Biology and Chemistry in particular, I place a strong emphasis on exam technique, mark-scheme wording, application questions and recognising common question patterns.

I try to keep lessons relaxed and interactive so students feel comfortable asking questions when they do not understand something. My aim is not simply to help students complete homework, but to help them become more confident and independent learners.

Outside academics, I enjoy playing guitar, skateboarding and video editing, so I also understand the importance of balancing studying with life outside school.
