Arthur Stockwell

I am a friendly, patient and adaptable teacher with experience teaching English to international learners of different ages and abilities. During my time volunteering and travelling in Central America, I planned and delivered English lessons to adult learners, including complete beginners, while also supporting children and families through educational activities. Having worked with people from different cultures and educational backgrounds, I understand that everyone learns differently. I bring a calm, approachable and conscientious attitude to tutoring and would aim to make every lesson a positive and worthwhile experience. My teaching style is patient and supportive, but I also encourage students to challenge themselves and gradually become more independent in their learning. I take the time to understand what each student wants to achieve and tailor lessons accordingly, whether that is improving confidence, developing communication skills or working towards a particular goal.
