Are you tired of studying English you do not use? In our classes you will study the English you really need.
We will talk about your needs and interests. I will make a lessons based on these. All lessons begin with a warm up, reviewing what you have learnt in the past. Then we will go over new content together. The main aim is for you to speak, write, read and listen as much as possible. I will help you and provide feedback. Our lessons will go at your speed. If it is easy we will good fast. If it is hard we will slow down. There is no rush.
We will work together to make an English action plan for you. This will include work for you to do on your own. I can provide homework assignments and practice resources if needed.
For IELTS we will begin with a practice test. I will provide feedback. We will then focus on the key techniques and vocabulary needed to improve your score. You will complete regular practice tests with feedback.
I am a qualified TESOL teacher. I have one year's experience as a classroom English teacher, including IELTS. Previously, I worked on summer camps in the UK and China. I have two years experience as a tutor. Currently, I am an MPhil student in modern Chinese studies at Oxford University. I hold a 1st class degree in Philosophy from Cambridge University.
I use PowerPoints to show vocabulary and to provide help. However my lessons are technology light. The focus is on communication. My job is to help you use English.
