I’ve spent a lot of time tutoring within my own family, mainly supporting primary school students and continuing to help them as they progress. Through this, I’ve developed a real understanding of how different learners think and how much confidence can grow with the right kind of support. Now, I’m looking to extend that support to more students and help them build both their understanding and belief in themselves.
My lessons are structured but flexible. I usually use a combination of relevant workbooks and resources, which I will share with you so you always know what we’re covering and can also practise outside of sessions if needed. Sessions are delivered online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams, depending on what you prefer, making it easy and accessible from home.
Before we begin properly, I like to take time to understand each student — how they learn best, where they feel confident, and where they struggle. I then adapt my teaching style to suit them, rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. Some students need more visual explanations, others prefer step-by-step guidance or lots of practice, and I adjust accordingly.
I am patient, compassionate, and non-judgmental, and I aim to create a space where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. My focus is not just on improving grades, but on building confidence and helping students feel more in control of their learning.
