Lexie Leack

Hi I’m Lexie, a Third-Year Biomedical Sciences student at Edge Hill University with a strong interest in helping students feel more confident in Maths. I studied Maths through GCSE and A Level, and I understand how difficult some topics can feel when they are not explained in a way that works for you.

Although I am new to formal tutoring, I have experience working with children through my teaching assistant work, where I supported pupils with different learning needs. This helped me develop patience, communication skills and the ability to explain things clearly.

My lessons will be relaxed, supportive and adapted to each student. I’ll start by finding out what the student is confident with and which areas they find difficult. We can then work through topics step-by-step using clear explanations and examples, followed by practice questions to check understanding. I encourage students to ask questions and will never make them feel embarrassed about getting something wrong.

I mainly aim to support primary, secondary and GCSE students. Whether you need help understanding a particular topic, preparing for an exam or simply building your confidence, I’ll work at a pace that suits you and help you become more independent in solving problems.
