Aron Geber

My name is Aron Geber and I am an English teacher at Svetozar Markovic high school in Novi Sad, where I teach English as a second language to Serbian and Hungarian students. I have almost ten years of experience in teaching English, and over the years I have taught young learners, teenagers as well as adults. Apart from teaching Serbian and Hungarian students, I have also taught English to Chinese and Japanese students. My goal has always been to help my students acquire new, and perfect their existing language skills. I graduated from the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Philosophy with a bachelor's and master's degree in English Language and Literature. I am also working on my PhD thesis in English and American literature, at the same university. During my studies, I was awarded the CEEPUS-scholarship in 2017 and 2018, and Várady Scholarship for PhD Candidates in 2016.
In my classes there is always an atmosphere of fun and creativity but also hard-work. I use my own course books that I adopt to the level of my students. Apart from the course books, I use various audio-visual realia to make the lessons come alive. I use a combination of speaking, reading and critical thinking to explain ideas and concepts. I like to practice with students by providing real life examples in order to make the class as interesting as possible.
