I have been a student of Spanish for nearly 10 years, and this language brings me a lot of joy. I have three years of teaching experience, two of which is in Spanish alone, and my students have achieved great success in the past. Being both a tutor and a student means I am very familiar with the learning process and I always tailor my approach to each student, keeping in mind their goals and learning style, in order to help them get the very most out of the experience. I have most of my experience with GCSE age students, but have also taught primary school children and some university age students as well.

Are your GCSEs or A levels around the corner? I remember that feeling! I took those very exams just a few years ago. Getting past exam paralysis and really getting into the language can be very difficult, but having got through it myself, I am confident I can (re)inject the experience of studying Spanish with a little bit of joy - or at the least, make it bearable enough! We'll do a range of exercises, including exam questions and verbal practice, with focus on your weakest areas to broaden your skills.

Or, perhaps you're a learner with different goals in mind, such as communication, translation, or just a bit of fun. There are infinite ways to improve, but I like to focus on broadening the range of materials you come into contact with, in accordance with your needs, to really expand your skill set. From translating song lyrics or news reports, to roleplaying job interviews and subtitling, together we'll find something to help propel you forwards.

No two lessons with me will look the same, given that I like to tailor my approach to different students, so we'll plan our way forward based on your needs. I like to conduct as much of the lesson in Spanish as possible, although with absolute beginners we will start with a mixture of Spanish and English until you're ready to dive in.
