I'm a very friendly and approachable person. I truly believe that every individual has their own way of adapting to a language and I make sure they're comfortable with the approach being used on them.
For adults, I try to start with spoken English as it is imperative in today's world to have excellent communication skills and a good grip on the common language. I ensure that I understand their needs and focus more on areas that will be useful for them in the future. Since I also have a very diverse circle in London, I'm comfortable conversing with people of various ethnicities and also like to help them work on their English.
For children, I try to go as per what makes them interested in the language initially. If it's someone who likes to write, I start with short paragraph writing, essays, and articles. If it's someone who's more comfortable with speaking, I work on their spoken English first.
Improving a student's grammar has always been a constant effort from my end and I make sure to work on the grammatical errors parallely, during every class.
