I am currently studying medicine abroad in Plovdiv medical university, but am based in Birmingham in the UK. I have completed my first year and am now going to enter into my second year I studied Biology, Chemistry and Maths for A levels and I offer tutoring for those subjects for GCSE level, particularly for Maths.
My lessons are designed to be supportive, engaging, and tailored to your child’s needs. Every student learns differently so I take the time out to understand their strengths and where they may find difficulties so I can adapt my focus and my techniques accordingly.
I believe in working smarter not harder. Whereas yes, hard work is necessary in facing all obstacles, working smart it what will allow that knowledge to be implemented in order to obtain the highest grade. This is why I know that understanding an individual’s strengths and weaknesses is crucial to know and tackle, which is a skill that many students struggle with.
I like to place a strong emphasis on exam technique, as knowing the content can only get you so for, especially for science-based subjects. Application of that content is what will achieve the top grade, which is done through practice of difficult questions. This is how we will see what examiners are specifically looked for, and the common mistakes of previous students in order for your child to know exactly what to write.
My approach is patient and encouraging, as I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, or saying when they do not understand. Rather than telling the students where they went wrong, I aim to help them understand why they went wrong in order for them to develop the skills and confidence to work things out independently.
Whether a student is aiming for a particular grade, struggling with a specific topic, or simply wants to become more confident in the subject, I will adapt our lessons to help them make steady progress towards their goals.
