My lessons are designed to be clear, practical and adapted to the individual learner. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and progressing at their own pace.
I have experience teaching and supporting learners in Further Education, as well as working in primary and nursery settings. I also have experience supporting SEN/SEND learners and students who may need information explained in a different way or broken down into smaller, more manageable steps. My teaching style is patient, calm and encouraging.
At the beginning of each lesson, I identify what the learner already understands and what they would like to achieve. From there, I structure the lesson around clear objectives, practical examples and activities that match the student’s preferred way of learning.
I can use visual explanations, demonstrations, discussion, repetition, hands-on activities and real-life examples to make difficult concepts easier to understand. I also encourage learners to explain ideas back to me, which helps build confidence and confirms genuine understanding.
My aim is not simply to help students complete an exercise or pass an assessment. I want them to understand the subject, become more independent and develop confidence in their own abilities.
I am particularly comfortable working with learners who need additional support, reassurance or a more personalised approach. Every learner is different, so I adapt my teaching accordingly and create a positive environment where progress can happen without unnecessary pressure.
