“I’m a fluent Spanish speaker with extensive first-hand experience across Latin America, including extended time living, travelling, and volunteering in Argentina, Costa Rica, and Colombia. This isn’t classroom-only Spanish for me — it’s a language I’ve used every day to navigate real situations, build genuine friendships, and get things done in unfamiliar places, often with no English fallback available.
My lessons are practical and conversation-first. Rather than drilling grammar in isolation, I build sessions around real communication: ordering food, negotiating prices, handling logistics, or simply holding a natural, flowing conversation with confidence. Grammar is still covered, but it’s always tied back to how it’s genuinely used in context, so it actually sticks rather than being memorised and forgotten.
I tailor every lesson to the student in front of me. Complete beginners get a clear, structured foundation with plenty of repetition, patience, and encouragement. Intermediate and advanced students focus more on fluency, filling specific gaps, and sounding natural rather than textbook-stiff. If you’re preparing for travel, work, or an exam, I’ll shape the content directly around that goal.
I keep a relaxed, low-pressure dynamic in lessons — mistakes are treated as a normal part of learning, not something to feel anxious about. Sessions can run fully in Spanish or with a mix of English support, depending on your level and comfort. I check in regularly on what’s working well and adjust pace and focus accordingly.
Whether you’re starting completely from scratch or want to move from “getting by” to genuinely thinking in Spanish, I’d love to help you get there.
