My lessons are tailored to each student and focus on understanding the maths rather than simply memorising methods. I usually begin by identifying the topics a student finds most difficult, then work through these using clear explanations, worked examples and progressively harder questions.

As exams approach, I place a strong focus on past-paper questions, exam technique and recognising the methods needed to approach unfamiliar problems. I also encourage students to attempt questions themselves, stepping in with hints and explanations when needed rather than simply giving them the answer.

Having recently completed A-Level Maths and Further Maths, achieving an A* in Maths and an A in Further Maths, I have very recent experience of the current exam system and understand the challenges students face. I can tutor GCSE and A-Level Maths, whether the goal is building confidence, securing a particular grade or pushing towards an 8/9 or A/A*.
