I am a second-year undergraduate at the University of Oxford studying an integrated masters Biology, offering tuition for GCSE and A-level Sciences, with a particular specialism in A-level Biology and Chemistry. At A-level, I studied Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Music, alongside an EPQ on the Biology of Senescence, achieving A* grades across all subjects. I have also recently secured a First-class distinction in my first-year university examinations.
I have over 4 years of tutoring experience across a wide range of ages and abilities, tutoring piano students aged 6 through to adults, to GCSE and A-level science students where I have helped students improve grades from C to A/A* and meet offers for top Russell Group universities. I particularly enjoy working with students aiming to pushing themselves further, achieve top grades, or places competitive university courses.
My tutoring approach aligns closely with that of a mentor or coach with lessons carefully tailored to each student’s current level and future goals. Whether that involves strengthening conceptual understanding, consolidating subject knowledge, developing strong exam technique through targeted past-paper practice, or providing detailed feedback on submitted work. I have prior experience teaching AQA, OCR, and Edexcel exam boards across the sciences, and I ensure lessons are closely aligned with specification requirements.
My long-standing interest in science stems not only from understanding how the world works, but from its translatable applications in areas such as medicine, engineering, agriculture, and technology. I make an effort to explore these applications with students to bridge the gap between abstract exam content and real significance. This is particularly valuable at A-level, where understanding how topics interconnect improves both engagement and depth of understanding, while also helping students make informed decisions about future study and career pathways.
Recently, I have ran small-group GCSE crash courses and hosted weekly tutoring livestreams, designed to help students concisely cover content while working through example questions and model answers to directly apply their learning.
