I have a friendly, approachable, and student-centred teaching and mentoring style, supported by over 20 years of experience helping learners achieve their goals. I specialise in personalised English language learning, using easy-to-follow online tools and adapting lessons to suit each learner’s individual preferences and pace.

I always place myself in the student’s position, identifying their preferred learning style and building confidence by starting from the ground up. Each lesson is carefully structured to progress comfortably, gradually stretching the learner’s skills while maintaining clarity and motivation.

My lessons are fun, engaging, practical, and relevant to real-life situations, ensuring learners can immediately apply what they learn to their everyday lives, studies, or professional environments. I find great fulfilment in seeing students experience real breakthroughs and measurable progress because of my teaching.

I have a basic understanding of Latin-based languages, which allows me to connect more easily with French- and Spanish-speaking learners who are learning English. That said, I am passionate about supporting all English language learners regardless of background or ability.

I have successfully mentored students aged 14 through to adult learners, supporting them at every stage of their educational journey. My focus is not only on helping learners maximise academic achievement and improve English communication skills, but also on building strong motivation, self-confidence, and a positive mindset toward learning. Through personalised guidance, clear goal-setting, and encouraging feedback, I help students overcome learning barriers, reduce anxiety, and rediscover their enthusiasm for learning.

By creating a supportive and engaging learning environment, I empower students to take ownership of their progress, develop effective study habits, and gain the confidence needed to succeed in academic, professional, and real-world contexts. My teaching approach promotes long-term learning success, helping learners stay motivated, engaged, and committed to continuous improvement while enjoying the learning process.
