I am passionate about English and believe that every child has the potential to become a confident reader and writer with the right support and encouragement. My aim is to create a positive, engaging learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and developing a genuine love for reading, writing, and language.
I have experience teaching children aged 5–11 across a wide range of abilities, from those who need additional support to those looking to extend and challenge their learning. I understand that every child learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit each individual's needs, interests, and learning style. Whether your child needs help with phonics, reading fluency, comprehension, grammar, spelling, creative writing, or preparing for assessments, I adapt my teaching to help them achieve their goals.
I also have experience working with children with SEND and understand the importance of patience, flexibility, and adapting teaching strategies to meet each child's unique needs. I create supportive, personalised sessions that build confidence, celebrate progress, and ensure every child feels valued and capable of success.
My teaching style is encouraging, interactive, and child-centred. I use a variety of engaging activities and resources to keep lessons enjoyable while maintaining clear learning objectives. I believe children learn best when they feel motivated and supported, so I focus on building both their academic skills and their confidence.
