I am a friendly and approachable person. I have previous experience mentoring university students in biomedical science. I have extensive knowledge of biology and chemistry-related subjects.
I used presentations to explain concepts within subjects and used peer feedback to improve my teaching. I helped students with assignments which included explaining how to structure the assignment, how to present figures, tables and legends, how to reference using Harvard referencing and referencing software and how to write report style.
I like to use peer-directed learning where students tell me what exactly they are struggling with and we go over the concept together. I also advise students on the best revision techniques suited to their learning style.
